Bush Tax Cuts Will Not Create JOBS!

During the first 3 years of Bush holding the White House, the American economy lost 3 million jobs. Not since the 1930s have we seen a three year stretch of jobs destruction like this. Corporations and anyone making over 147,000 a year received major tax breaks costing the taxpayers just over 2 TRILLION! Yes WE pay it back! They borrowed money from other countries gave it to the rich and as an excuse said they would use that money to hire people. It was all a LIE that to this day they keep selling to the people. Look what happened over the last 10 years. In total Bush LOST 8 million jobs and the tax cuts cost us 3 TRILLION and counting. What is worse people are standing up for the corporate scum that screwed them to begin with, RIGHT TEAPARTY???

I have to admit they were slick. Outsource a few million jobs create a recession and then sell to the people the old trickle down economics of Reagan. The people bought it HOOK, LINE AND SINKER. With 85% of working Americans making under 75,000 a year the tax cut for people in the 50-$75,000 range was around 550$ or 1 PERCENT of their yearly wage. Now for people making one MILLION a year the average tax break was just over 100K. Now that is 10 PERCENT of their yearly wages. How is this fair? For all of this spending they promised 2.2 million jobs. Well they just kept outsourcing as the rich got richer the unemployment rate went up. Still to this very day they fight for these very tax breaks. After SPENDING 3 TRILLION!! Obama and the stimulus package created 2.3 million jobs with just 787 Billion. This was a necessary package that saved the economy from falling further. Look at the chart below and see how much more debt the Bush Tax cuts would add. As companies hoard cash its estimated they are sitting on over 2 trillion. Why would we give them more tax cuts? Its NOT raising taxes its ENDING TAX CUTS! This is money we borrow from China and make the American tax payer pay back with interest. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU TEA PARTY YOU CAN'T FIGURE THIS OUT? WAKE UP DUMMIES!

One reason Hultgren may have been unable to explain to his constituents how the Bush tax cuts created jobs is because they mostly haven’t. From 2001 to 2007, the economy endured the slowest job growth on record since World War II, and just one-fifth the pace of the 1990s.”  Yet they LIE to everyone telling the voters these tax CUTS will create jobs, well history and facts tell us they won't.  The mantra of the GOP, NEVER LET FACTS GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD STORY!.

The GOP and Tea Party "leaders" know dam well the tax cuts WILL NOT, HAVE NOT and NEVER WILL create jobs. Its not about jobs for them its about protecting the rich, always has been. This next video is a prime example of the people getting fed up. Rep. Randy Hultgren (R-IL) held a town hall meeting in Geneva, Illinois where he was asked questions about the Bush tax cuts. A woman stood up and asked him to explain how the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy created jobs for Americans. All he could do was stare for a minute and ask to move on. I am so glad Americans are waking up. At Paul Ryan's office the staffers refuse to leave and people are getting arrested for asking about Jobs. Imagine that, this is the new America created by the Tea Party hell bent on beating Obama. We have a JOBS CRISIS and a REVENUE problem. End the tax cuts, spend that money on the USA infrastructure and we can get on the way to recovery. One more thing that baffles me. How can people stand up with the GOP and support deregulation? THE VERY THING THAT WRECKED THE ECONOMY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

At Town Hall, GOP Rep. Hultgren Can’t Explain How Bush Tax Cuts Created Jobs

The next two videos are from Cenk and the Young Turks.  If you have never heard of them before please take a few minutes and watch.  Cenk has a great way of getting to the truth and spelling things out.  These are facts fox news and the GOP don NOT want you to know.

Great hub. What worries me is that President Obama and many Congressional Democrats have bought into the tax cuts stimulate the economy myth. For this reason, they are the lesser of two evils. The fact is, the jobs outsourced by corporations are probably not coming back. What we need is a green New Deal now, followed by a blend of nationalization of essential industries (Education, energy, utilities, healthcare and some banks) and cooperatives/local profit-sharing ventures. The point is, we need jobs and economic parity, not paternalistic tax cuts.

Very true brages07, we need to spend here and invest in the USA. The Bush Tax cuts are a major source of why we ae in debt. We are asking just a 4% increase. I think they can afford it.

America’s presumably anti-tax party wants to raise your taxes. Come January, the Republicans plan to raise the taxes of anyone who earns $50,000 a year by $1,000, and anyone who makes $100,000 by $2,000. Read this now they want to tax the Middle Class

Excellent Hub PoliticsNOW. The Bush tax cuts were unnecessary and are the cause of most of our deficit. The wars and homeland security expansion is the other major part. Let them expire and invest in future industries, education, and infrastructure.

I don't understand how people defend them? I chat with people nd they have no idea the effect they have on our debt.

If Republicans Think the Stimulus Failed, They Must Think Bush is a Joke, Considering it Alone Created More Jobs Than Bush.
